Location: Supercomputing Department
Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial airconditioning, particularly in high-performance computing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing issues with air-conditioning systems to prevent overheating of critical hardware
- Monitoring and adjusting temperature and humidity levels in server rooms to meet specific requirements for supercomputing equipment, ensuring optimal performance
- Maintain clean and orderly workstations
- Supervise and train air-conditioning apprentices in both theoretical and practical aspects of the trade
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all installations and repairs
- Collaborate with research teams and resident innovators
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and updates
- Assist engineers in designing and acquiring cooling systems
- Assist engineers in other tasks as may be needful
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of a National Certificate in Air-conditioning.
- Proven experience as a Systems Technician in air-conditioning is an added advantage.
- ICT qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a research or academic setting is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR and Facilities policies and procedures aligned with the organization's goals.
- Oversee asset management processes, including maintaining an asset register, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of company assets.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate records and timely replenishment of supplies.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent management processes.

PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring compliance with ZCHPC policies and Procedures and as guided by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe.

ACCOUNTANT

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions.
- Prepare budget forecasts.
- Prepare financial statements in time.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
